EIS was founded in 1989 by JC Gunnel, who continues to serve as company CEO. Under her leadership EIS grew quickly into the leading specialty collection provider, focused on estate collection services.

Because of the time-sensitive nature of estate collections – almost 43% of all debt collected occurs in the first three months after a probate situation is identified – EIS developed its own proprietary systems for rapid identification of DoD information from public sources.

And to ensure that the complex paperwork involved in probate cases matches local court and practices, EIS created an automated system to reduce errors and missed deadlines.
